JOYFUL GAME -

Was stuck behind a gapper early and had a lot of ground to make up, followed weak cover 4th over and finished well, making up about 12 lengths

BIG CITY JEWEL -

Far back early from post 8, finished well from a tough spot

DON'T FLASH ME -

Had post 8 and was hurt by gappers early then followed weak cover, finished well

MAJOR MALE*** -

Third over behind weak cover, paced his last half in :54

MAYWOOD

4/25: 6w, no bias, hard to call it a bias, 4 horses did rally to win off cover trips

STEPH'S MELODY -

Was first over a long way and held well

Had post 8, had to brush three wide to get around a dull horse and finished solidly

CONTINUAL VELOCITY -

Left from post 8 in this handicap race and was used hard to clear past the quarter, set a quick pace under second-half pressure and held off the 1-2 favorite gamely

SCHOOLKIDS -

Quarter-moved to the lead past a :25 4/5 opener, set a quick pace and jogged

Had the rail and left powerfully in :25 4/5, yielded and ended up third, then went first over against the razor-sharp Schoolkids and held well considering

Left from post 8, was three deep and cooked to a :25 4/5 opener in a vicious three-way battle for the early lead, took the lead and gradually faded from the pocket, tough trip

Was first over a long way from post 6, pushed the 2-5 favorite and held well

JINS DRAGON -

Made a strong brush to take the lead at the half but took a bad step and was moved to the two path, recovered quickly and continued to battle for the lead, held gamely

PEMBROKE DEWEY -

Left sharply, parked a horse to a :26 3/5 opener, yielded to a brush at the half but then inherited the lead again when Jins Dragon took a bad step, maintained the pace under pressure and dug in for a game win in an effort that looks like a pocket trip on paper

BUCKEYE IN CHARGE -

Left from post 10 with catch driver John Campbell in the bike, was parked battling for the lead through quick fractions, found a tuck at the three quarters, held gamely

DOVUTO HANOVER*** -

Bided his time second over while gapping his cover a bit, tipped wide for the drive and finished powerfully to win under mild urging by Scott Zeron

BETTOR CHILL OUT -

Left sluggishly from post 9, waited for cover and flushed out a second over trip but lost cover just passing the half, grinded up to challenge and won under confident handling

MATTIE TERROR GIRL -

Left sluggishly from post 10 and flushed out cover down the back, rallied wide turning for home and finished gamely for the place

MARINADE HANOVER -

Moved out behind excess cover down the back but ducked back in, angled out behind a wall of horses in the stretch, found room to the outside and finished quickly

LEAVEUMLADY -

Left well from post 6 to the early lead, yielded and was badly shuffled back to 6th, angled into a blindswitch in the stretch and cleared too late to do any damage

ARIA J -

Followed cover 4th over, rallied wide and finished sharply in :26 3/5

RIGHT ON MOLLY -

Was a promising two-year-old but missed all of last season; had post 10 in last and cleared late with pace; may be coming around now

MERITED VICTORY -

Classy veteran showed speed leaving but was shuffled back in tight quarters; price factor

SWEET TALKIN SATIN -

Saved ground from the rail and was boxed in most of the stretch drive while racing in a tough B-1 field

MIGHTY YOUNG JOE -

Was parked the mile with cover, 5th over at the half, swung very wide late on the final turn and into the stretch and finished fast down the far outside, home in :26 3/5

MAJOR BLUE COAT -

Picked up catch driver David Miller, left the gate, was parked the mile without cover and tired after the tough trip

SEE AND SKI -

Floated out and was parked the mile, had dull cover, rallied wide at the three quarters and finished well for the place

MONTICELLO

4/26: 4w, no bias, sloppy track

I DO IT MYSELF -

Had post 7, followed cover, gained ground at each call and finished sharply for the place

WESTERN COLE -

Left from the rail, got into a wicked speed duel while refusing to yield, set an insane pace and staggered home but somehow held on for the win under strong Brennan handling

LONG FLIGHT HANOVER -

Left and was three wide on the first turn, was parked three turns in a wicked speed duel with Western Cole, pushed a torrid pace and excusably tired

ERLE DALE N -

Left and was used hard to clear in :27 over the off going, set the pace under second-half pressure and didn’t tire that badly

DANCIN YANKEE -

Had post 7, followed dull cover off the first turn so he was out most of the mile, took the final turn three wide while gaining ground and held okay after a tough trip

APPRENTICE HANOVER -

Followed cover at the three quarters, stacked wide for the drive and finished boldly
