Harness: Prix De Paris Marathon this Sunday

webmaster|Feb 25, 2022

After a festival of thrills and breathtaking emotions, the competition Prix d'Amérique Races Zeturf 2021 - 2022 will finish with a grand climax on Sunday, February 27 at Paris-Vincennes race course. Hearts will pound for the exceptional cast of the Prix de Paris Marathon Race, the last of the three Finals of the saga.

The most enthusiastic superlatives can apply to the Prix de Paris Marathon Race. A staggering Group I that will take 14 trot champions, over a very long 4150-meter journey, for one of the longest Trot events on earth, the longest possible at Paris-Vincennes. They will have to complete two laps of the Grande Piste and go twice over the formidable uphill section. A demanding and spectacular exercise requiring stamina and speed - only a real champion can triumph.

The 2022 Edition will combine stunning suspense and exciting combat. The heroes of the preceding Finals have responded to the call, in particular the first three at the finish of the Prix d'Amérique Legend Race. Will Davidson du Pont, brilliant winner of the Prix d'Amérique Legend Race on January 30th, make up for his unconclusive endeavours in the Prix de France Speed Race ? Will Galius, his runner up in a very close finish, confirm his rising star statute and aim for first place thanks to his unlimited staying power ? Will Flamme du Goutier erase the memory of her disappointing performance on February 13th and reveal her true nature? Thierry Duvaldestin's protégée, winner of the Prix de Cornulier on January 23th, is equally talented under the saddle and at the Sulky, a trait common to several previous winners of the Prix de Paris Marathon Race.

Behind this masterly trio, there are other worthy candidates. For most experts, Diable de Vauvert, second last year and well prepared for D-Day, Amplia Mede SM, collector of impressive victories, as well as title holder Etonnant, as also Gu d'Héripré with his strong track record in major events, and Fakir du Lorault who attracted attention in the Prix de France Speed Race, can certainly play leading roles. Décoloration, Calle Crown, Fric du Chene and Chica de Joudes are outsiders not to be forgotten in this open and most attractive Prix de Paris Marathon Race.
