The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association’s Harness Racing Fantasy League is back for 2026 with big changes and more ways to win. Entries are currently being accepted for the 2026 Fantasy League and are due June 15. The contest runs from July 1 through Oct. 31. The Harness Racing Fantasy League affords everyone the opportunity to experience the sport from an ownership perspective by selecting horses for their personal fantasy stable. Each stable consists of six horses comprised of five Ohio-sired 2-year-olds sold at a public auction and an Ohio-sired “wild card” horse of any age, sex, or gait. Stables will be ranked based on total earnings, and the standings will be posted to the OHHA Fantasy League page. A total of $5,000 in cash prizes is up for grabs this year. The winner will receive the grand prize of $1,500. Second place will receive $800, and third place will receive $400. Fourth through 10th place will each receive $100, and the lowest-earning stable will also receive $100. New this year will be cash payouts at the quarter, half, and three-quarter poles with $500 going to the leading stable on Aug. 1, Sept. 1, and Oct. 1. Other prizes include OHHA swag for any fantasy stable owner whose horse sets a track record or wins an Ohio Sires Stakes final. The Fantasy League is also introducing a "Beat the Experts" competition, pitting participants against the OHHA’s four experts — Matt Clark, Ashley Dailey, Roger Huston, and Stephen Taylor — who met some of this year's eligible horses while filming the Freshman Focus series. Anyone who tops them all in the final standings will be entered into a drawing, and one lucky winner will receive two tickets to an Ohio professional sporting event. The 2026 Freshman Focus series is available on the OHHA YouTube channel. For more information on the Fantasy League and to access entry forms and a list of eligible horses, visit the OHHA Fantasy League page. Entries are limited to one per person, and a current valid email address is required. Completed forms must be emailed to the OHHA’s Kim Poma at kpoma@ohha.com or faxed to 614-221-8726. No phone entries will be accepted. -edited release (OHHA)
