Harness: London Classic Yearling Sale begins
The 2023 London Classic Yearling Sale started on Tuesday afternoon and was led by HIP 46 Stonebridge Alien, who sold to Mark Steacy for C$165,000.
Stonebridge Alien, consigned by Stonebridge Farm, is a Shadow Play half-brother to this year's Graduate Series champion Stonebridge Helios (1:47, C$731,380).
HIP 115 The Hitman Heart, a colt from the first crop of Green Manalishi S, led the trotters at C$115,000. Bred by Jake Higgs and Dr. Sara Gatchell, The Hitman Heart was consigned by Dean and Ashley Wilson and is a half-brother to Logan Park (1:50 3/5, C$995,492) and Willys Home Run (1:55 1/5, C$523,935). The Hitman Heart was purchased by Steve Colvin.
One other yearling, HIP 49 Peloton Seelster, made into six figures as he was grabbed by Dr. Ian Moore for C$105,000. Bred and consigned by Seelster Farms, Peloton Seelster is a Shadow Play half-brother to Poseidon Seelster (1:48 2/5, C$534,170).

A total of 144 yearlings went through the ring during the session, bringing a gross of C$3,984,000 and an average of C$27,666. The London Classic Yearling Sale wraps up on Wednesday starting at noon with HIPs 161-312 available for purchase.
