Amanda Stephens Kadena led the 2025 Standardbred Horse Sale overall after going for $1.2 million on Friday

Three-year-old Gimpanzee filly Kadena became the fourth seven-figure seller at this year's Standardbred Horse Sale when she was purchased by Armitage Farm for $1.2 million during Friday's final session of the mixed sale.

Kadena, who had been campaigned by Marcus Melander for owners Jeff Snyder and S R F Stable, has a mark of 1:51, has earned $209,917, and being out of the great Mission Brief, is a sister to this year's top 2-year-old trotting colt Apex. Kadena was consigned by Preferred Equine Marketing, Inc. as agent

Armitage Farm also got 4-year-old Chapter Seven mare Date Night Hanover, who won the Allerage Farms Open Mare Trot at The Red Mile last month in a career-best 1:49 2/5, for $985,000. Trained by Melander for Snyder and Onda Racing Stable LLC., she's earned $936,787 lifetime. She was also consigned by Preferred Equine Marketing, Inc. as agent.

Rodeo Drive Deo, a 3-year-old Captaintreacherous filly who was this year's Jugette champion, was purchased by Cindy Stewart from Hunterton Farms for $650,000 from the consignment of agent Alliance Bloodstock, and $650,000 was also the price for 3-year-old Muscle Hill filly What A Bid Hanover, who won the Goldsmith Maid last year and a division of the Del Miller Memorial this year. What A Bid Hanover went to Kountry Lane Standardbreds and was consigned by Preferred Equine Marketing, Inc. as agent.

Rounding out the top five sellers on Friday was Fallout, a 3-year-old Captaintreacherous colt who won last year's Metro Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Consigned by Preferred Equine Marketing, Inc. as agent, he was acquired by Burke Racing Stable LLC.

The Thursday/Friday mixed sale achieved a record gross of $38,554,000, bettering last year's $31,608,000 and the average was also a record at $55,156, topping 2024's $52,224.
