The 2023 edition of the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale ended on Saturday afternoon with one six-figure seller in HIP 360 Ponda Bugatti. As as the case on Friday, the top seller was by Swan For All, bred and consigned by Pond-A-Acres and purchased by agent Peter Wrenn. Ponda Bugatti, a colt, is out of Much Fanfare, a Muscle Hill half-sister to the likes of $639,144 earner Possessed Fashion. The sale finished down in both average and gross year-over-year compared to 2022. The gross for 397 horses sold was $7,954,200, which dipped from $9,030,700 for 399 yearlings a year ago, and the average decreased from $22,633 to $20,036. ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Next up on the sale calendar is the Standardbred Horse Sale in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, that gets underway on Monday, November 6.
