Harness: First-leg winners to square off in Ohio Sires Stakes Saturday at Eldorado Scioto Downs

Sea Silk and Secret Side Piece, the winners in the first leg of the Ohio Sires Stakes for Three-Year-Old Pacing fillies, will meet Saturday (June 4) at Eldorado Scioto Downs in the second leg. The two earned first-leg victories May 4 at Miami Valley Raceway.

Two divisions of sophomore filly pacers will go to the post with each division carrying a purse of $55,000.

Both Sea Silk and Secret Side Piece are daughters of Downbytheseaside. Sea Silk, trained by Ron Burke, won her division in the first leg in 1:50 2/5 with Chris Page driving. Page will have the lines again for the early 6-5 favorite who will look for her second win in as many starts. Sea Silk is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, Knox Services, and Hatfield Stables.

Brian Brown trainee Secret Side Piece was a winner in 1:51 4/5 in the first leg. Cameron McCown will again drive the filly. Secret Side Piece has one win in two starts this year. The filly is owned by Black Magic Racing.

Sea Silk's stablemate Fantasy Life, who is also sired by Downbytheseaside, is the second betting choice at 7-2. Fantasy Life is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, J&T Silva, Purnel & Libby and Beasty LLC.

Dragons Revenge with Dan Noble finished second in the first leg to Sea Silk and drew the rail for Saturday. She will be looking for her second win of the year for trainer Christi Noble. The Fear The Dragon filly is owned by Tim Homan, Jim Burnett and Norman Rae Racing.

In the first division, Burke will send three fillies to the post, led by the 9-5 morning-line favorite Cape Cod Hanover. Page will drive Cape Cod Hanover who finished second in the first leg, when she was nipped at the wire by Secret Side Piece. Cape Cod Hanover is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, Rich Lombardo Racing and RAS Racing.

Ronnie Wrenn Jr. will be behind the second betting choice, Twenty. Trained by Burke, the daughter of Well Said has won three times this year and looks to improve on her fourth-place finish in the first leg. Twenty is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, J&T Silva Stables and Knox Services.

Do It Like Bobbi, the third choice on the morning line, was a third-place finisher in the first leg. Tony Hall will drive the David Elliott trainee. Do It Like Bobbi is owned by Stephen Sexton.

Seven of the 12 fillies in action are sired by Downbytheseaside.

First race post time is 3:15 PM.
