Harness: Eurobond brings $205,000 at Summer Mixed Sale

HIP 65 Eurobond, a 6-year-old stallion by Love You, sold to owner Matt Morrison for $205,000 to lead Sunday afternoon's Summer Mixed Sale at the Meadowlands.
Eurobond, who has won won five of six starts this year at Plainridge, is a 17-time winner in his career. Campaigned up to this point by breeder Lindy Farms and co-owner Robert Rudolph, he has banked $361,650. Eurobond was consigned by agent Preferred Equine Marketing, Inc.
One other horse sold for six figures during the session, and that was HIP 39 The Greek Freak, a 4-year-old Captaintreacherous gelding who went to Ontario's Gino Toscani for $165,000. Competing for trainer Ron Burke and owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Piatt Racing LLC., J&T Silva- Purnel & Libby, and Weaver Bruscemi LLC., The Greek Freak compiled a record of 4-7-3 and earned $265,394. He was also consigned by agent Preferred Equine Marketing, Inc.
The sale grossed $2,704,500 from 78 horses sold, and the average was $34,673.
