Harness: Diamond Creek announces 2024 stud fees

webmaster|Nov 06, 2023
Diamond Creek Farm

Three new stallions join the Diamond Creek roster for 2024: Cannibal, Confederate and Tactical Approach. Filling out the roster are pacing stallions Always B Miki, Bettor's Wish, Captain Crunch, Downbytheseaside, Pebble Beach, and Sweet Lou with trotting stallions Gimpanzee, Father Patrick, Creatine, and Marseille.

Sweet Lou is having a banner year with strangleholds on the 2-year-old filly and 3-year-old colt divisions while continuing to produce successful aged horses. Sweet Lou is currently #2 for earnings for all aged pacers with $17,257,666, #2 in earnings for 2-year-olds and #1 in earnings for 3-year-olds, cementing Lou as the top pacing sire.

Downbytheseaside continues his rise and is well represented by 4-year-old superstar Bythemissal (1:47 1/5, $2,007,966). Seaside is currently ranked #3 in earnings for 3-year-olds. Captain Crunch, a Breeders Crown winner himself, had a first crop Breeders Crown winner with 2-year-old colt sensation Gem Quality (1:50, $438,940), trained by Chris Ryder. From a small first crop that he bred while racing, Bettor's Wish had top 2-year-olds including Tony Alagna trainee Better is Nice (1:50 3/5, $510,120), winner of the New Jersey Sire Stakes Final, the Kentucky Sire Stakes Championship Series Final, division of Bluegrass Series and his Breeders Crown elimination. Bettor's Wish is currently #3 in average earnings for 2-year-olds.

Father Patrick had a Hambletonian Oaks winner in Heaven Hanover (1:50 3/5, $544,321) and currently ranks #3 in earnings for 3-year-olds. Always B Miki returned to the Breeders Crown winners circle for the 7th time as a sire with Sylvia Hanover (1:48 1/5, $1,443,524). Creatine won three finals on Ohio Sire Stakes Super Finals night, while Marseille's first crop of yearlings were well received at the sales.
