webmaster|Sep 01, 2021

The 2021 Goshen Yearling Sale will be held at noon on Monday (Sept. 13) and the 127 yearlings being offered this year are currently being examined by many interested parties in person, on video and in the catalog. However no one has observed these horses closer than the respective managers of each farm.

Below are some opinions they have offered about who stands out to them from their consignments.

This is the best consignment of yearlings that we have ever brought to Goshen and included, we are selling 18 by the leading pacing stallion in New York in 2021 - Huntsville. In total we are consigning 38 yearlings; 16 owned by Cameo Hills Farm and 22 owned by our clients.

David Hanson - Leatherstocking Equine

We have 17 yearlings set for the Goshen Sale including two pacing fillies, seven trotting colts and eight trotting fillies. First-crop sires Crazy Wow, In The Arsenal, and Met's Hall are all represented in our consignment as well as established sires American Ideal, Conway Hall and Roll With Joe. Many dams are represented with their first foals along with well proven mares as well. Many of the mares have 2-year-olds racing and there will be many updates by sale time. In all, a very nice group of correct individuals that any buyer will need to inspect for purchase. We at Leatherstocking are excited to bring such a nice presentation of New York sires and dams to our first appearance at the Goshen Sale.

Jim Ladwig - Winbak Farm

We have some nice horses going to Goshen this year. Let me start by saying I'm really liking the Boston Red Rocks. They are what you're looking for in a yearling: strong, athletic and correct.

(Hip #68) Rebal Alliance (Boston Red Rocks-Art Alliance) and (Hip #71) Boston Bound (Boston Red Rocks-Ashleeswayrhighway) are some nice colts and (Hip #44) Country House (Boston Red Rocks-Tug River Della) and (Hip #52) Bean Town Lass (Boston Red Rocks-Viking Maiden) are some good looking fillies.

We also have a good selection of Roll With Joe's including (Hip #49) Crime Boss (Roll With Joe-Unlawful Smile), who is a good-looking colt as is (Hip #7) Bourbon Babe (Roll With Joe-Michelle's Ideal), a nice looking filly.

We have some nice Heston Blue Chips like (Hip #109) He's Heaven Sent (Heston Blue Chip-Heavenly Sign), who is a nice colt and good-looking and pacing fillies (Hip #116) Mezzo Soprano (Heston Blue Chip-Keystone Musical), (Hip #5) Cruzin The Blues (Heston Blue Chip-Merculese) and (Hip #77) Madison Queen (Heston Blue Chip-Better Speed).

Other very nice horses that are not to be missed are trotting colt (Hip #84) Night Star (Met's Hall-Celestial Angel), trotting filly (Hip #19) Shift Change (Conway Hall-Overnight Rail) and one of my favorites (Hip #43) Merry Jerry (American Ideal-Toy Delight), who is a real nice colt.

Our two Agent horses are (Hip #35) Muscles Minuteman (Muscles Yankee-Sing Me To Sleep) and (Hip #74) Dauntless Dude (Dude's The Man-Azorean Sky) and are both real nice examples of their sires.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch with me at the farm at 410.885.3059.

Jean Brown - Blue Chip Farm

Blue Chip's Goshen consignment features six New York breds including (Hip #80) Usosweet Blue Chip (Devious Man-Twin B Kisses), who is a Devious Man filly and the first foal out of the mare Twin B Kisses. The dam is by Muscle Mass and the cross of the Credit Winner line to the Muscle Yankee line has been terrific.

Blue Chip also has two nice fillies in (Hip #46) Uconn Blue Chip (Roll With Joe-No Lies), whose dam has been a 100% producer to that stallion, and (Hip #95) Umbrella Blue Chip (Huntsville-Light Of Day), who is a Huntsville filly out of a half-sister to $2 million dollar winner, Bettor's Edge.

Fred Dowling

(Hip #66) I Dream Of Chips (If I Can Dream-Allthatnabagachips) is out of a very good racing mare. A middle May-bred gelding with great size who is easy to handle. He has the right conformation and ability to become a great racehorse.

(Hip #86) Collie Duer (Bolt The Duer-Colie Hanover) was sired by Adios winner Bolt the Duer and the mare has a good production of foals. This filly has good conformation, a good attitude and will make a good racehorse.

The 2021 Goshen Yearling Sale will be held on Monday (Sept. 13) at noon. Catalogs are still available at most tracks and training centers in the northeast and can be downloaded right from the GYS website (goshenyearlingsale.com).

Live video of the entire sale and online bidding will be available through Cattle In Motion. Their website (cattleinmotion.com) is your one-stop shop for everything pertaining to the GYS but you will need to register in advance of the sale for all the available benefits.

The sales facility is located at 90 Slaughter Road, Middletown, NY, which is within a 90-minute drive of many major race tracks and training centers in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, making it a very convenient location.
