Harness: Catalog available for Ohio Selected Jug Yearling Sale

The catalog for the Ohio Selected Jug Yearling Sale is now available on the Lexington Selected website, lexingtonselected.com, and on the Equineline Sales catalog app for the iPad. Print catalogs are in the mail and should be received in the coming days.

The single-day sale, featuring 248 Ohio-eligible yearlings, will be held on Friday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. at its new location, the Brave Horse Show Park in Johnstown, 25 miles northeast of Columbus.

There will be a special “Yearling Show Day” on the sale grounds on the Thursday prior to the sale, starting at 2 p.m., with food and drink served from 4-6 p.m.

“The Ohio program continues to move forward and has a lot of appeal to horsemen everywhere, not just those who race primarily in Ohio,” said sale manager Randy Manges. “We’ve sent catalogs to about every major outfit, and I really expect another outstanding turnout for the sale.”

Ohio Selected Jug Sale grads won six of the eight Ohio Sire Stakes Championships for 2 and 3-year-olds last year, and this year the sale has again produced many of the program’s top money-winners heading into Scioto Downs’ “Super Night” on Labor Day weekend.
