Harness: Captaintreacherous's book full, closed for 2022

The 2022 book for leading pacing stallion Captaintreacherous is now full and closed.

In 2021 Captaintreacherous was the leading money winning sire of 2-year-old pacers with $3,358,498 earned. His 2021 2-year-old performers were led by Don't Fence Me In (filly) p, 2, 1:50 2/5 ($345,782), Treacherous Dragon (filly) p, 2, 1;51 3/5 ($299,612), Hammering Hank p, 2 1:51 1/5 ($283,218), Wearinmysixshooter p, 2, 1:53f ($281,156) and Boudoir Hanover (filly) p, 2, 1:49 4/5 ($221,834).

Captaintreacherous was the third-leading winning sire of 3-year-olds in 2021. His 2021 3-year-olds were led by the millionaire filly Blue Diamond Eyes p, 3, 1:47 2/5 ($1,150,704) and the fast Rockyroad Hanover p, 3 1:48 1/5 ($595,134).

In a rare siring feat, "The Captain" is also the sire of both 2021 Dan Patch older pacers of the year, Allywag Hanover p, 1:46 1/5 $1,195,998 and Lyons Sentinel p, 1:48 $2,003,594.

Captaintreacherous was the leading pacing sire by average at both the 2021 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale ($132,940) and the 2021 Standardbred Horse Sale ($113,590).

Captaintreacherous is the sixth Hanover stallion to have a full and closed 2022 book, joining Bar Hopping, Captain Corey, Greenshoe, Papi Rob Hanover and Tall Dark Stranger.
