Harness: Captain Corey sidelined for the rest of 2021

It has been announced that Hambletonian and Earl Beal Jr. Memorial winner Captain Corey is out for the remainder of 2021 after suffering an injury.
"Captain Corey has been diagnosed with a hairline fracture in his front left hoof," tweeted Tristan Sjoberg of Knutsson Trotting Inc., one of the horse's co-owners.
The 3-year-old Googoo Gaagaa colt bred by Carter Duer is trained by Ake Svanstedt and will finish his sophomore campaign with a record of 5-1-0 from seven starts and seasonal earnings of $758,695.

In an interview with Sweden's ATG Live, Svanstedt said that the horse could be back in training in five months time. He said ultimately it will be the owners' decision, though, as the horse could be lured to stallion duties.
