Harness: Brainard banned from Yonkers Raceway

According to multiple sources, trainer Tracy Brainard has been told that horses under her care will no longer be permitted to enter at Yonkers Raceway.

Brainard, who has won 61 races in 226 starts this year and over 1,300 career races as a trainer, has no major fines on her record in 2015. According to USTA records, she was suspended for 30 days in 2013 for a Testosterone positive on the horse Doubleshotascotch.

Additionally, the NY Gaming Commission lists a 60 day suspension for elevated TCO2 in the horse Scorpion Moon on 4/26/2013.

No reason was given for the banishment of the 38-year-old New York-based trainer.

Brainard could not be reached for comment.
