Hambletonian winner Apex is headed to Hanover Shoe Farms for his next career as a stallion according to co-owner Jeff Snyder and Farm President & CEO Russell Williams.
“We are very happy to be working with Jeff [Snyder] again,” said Williams, who is also expecting to stand top 4-year-old Super Chapter, who is owned in part by Snyder, Arthur Pronti and Hanover Shoe Farms, in 2027.
With Super Chapter being a son of Chapter Seven and Apex a generation removed as a son of Walner from the Chapter Seven family tree, Williams is looking forward to the challenge of finding the best matings for both and isn’t concerned about the crossover.
“We have plenty of mares that will work well with that line. I love the puzzle of finding the best connections,” said Williams.
Apex retires with a 20-11-4-1 record and $1,843,601 in career earnings. He is currently the leading money winner among 3-year-old trotters in 2026 and is the fastest Hambletonian winner in history (1:49 2/5).
