Harness: 2021 Breeders Crown Charity Challenge taking shape

The 2021 Breeders Crown Charity Challenge presented by the Libfeld-Katz Breeding Partnership kicks off Saturday, July 3rd and culminates on Breeders Crown weekend, October 29th & 30th.

This year's Challenge intends to raise awareness of the positive contributions harness racing makes in the tri-state area, especially New Jersey.

The 2021 designated charities are:

► enCourage Kids Foundation

► Special Olympics New Jersey

► New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund

► John Theurer Cancer Center @ Hackensack

The Charity Challenge Teams/Sponsors are:

This year the non-profit organizations will be paired with an elite driver/trainer team on Saturday, July 3rd during a draw ceremony after Race 2 at the Meadowlands Racetrack. The charities are encouraged to cheer their Team on via social media and through online fan voting in hopes of earning the most Breeders Crown Challenge Points.

Complete information on the 2021 Breeders Crown Charity Challenge can be found at PlayMeadowlands.events/bc and will be updated through the Breeders Crown Finals on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

Funds for the Breeders Crown Charity Challenge are generated by donations from some of the industry's most notable breeders, trainers and drivers. The additional funds will be raised through the donation of a 2022 breeding to some of the industry's top stallions at the 2021 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.
