Happy My Way back at favored track for Sunshine Millions Sprint

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Happy My Way will return to his favorite track when he launches his 2015 campaign in Saturday’s Sunshine Millions Sprint at Gulfstream Park. Happy My Way suffered his only setback in four local starts over the main track here last winter, when he finished second behind Ribo Bobo in the Sprint. He has been freshened since finishing a troubled second in the Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash at Laurel on Nov. 15.
“I’m looking forward to getting him back over this track, although it doesn’t seem quite the same as it was a year ago,” said trainer Joe Orseno. “We’ll take it easy with him this winter.”
Orseno said he would run Happy My Way one more time after the Sunshine Millions, then point him for a defense of his title in the Grade 3 Maryland Sprint in May at Pimlico.
Happy My Way cruised to a 5 3/4-length triumph in the Maryland Sprint last spring. He also finished second behind Palace in Saratoga’s Grade 1 Alfred Vanderbilt.
