Hanover Raceway: Publicity Seeker prevails in Dream Of Glory final
Hanover Raceway was the scene of the C$56,200 Dream Of Glory final for 3-year-old Ontario-sired trotters on Saturday afternoon, and it would be public choice Publicity Seeker who got all the headlines by winning in 1:57 3/5.
With Doug McNair coming over to drive, Publicity Seeker was positioned third at the 28 second opening quarter, but he was able to brush past Sweet Soul David (Sylvain Filion) to take the lead before the 57 3/5 half. After that, Publicity Seeker backed down the three-quarters to 1:27 3/5, then held sway to the wire, winning by a length over Sweet Soul David. Tipsy In Dixie (James MacDonald) did the first-over work past the half and wound up third.
