Race 6
PERFECT SET (#2) comes here in peak form with two wins and two seconds in his last four starts, and that includes a romping win over this track July 3. SOLID WAGER (#3) ran on to be second to Motown Men at Del Mar July 31, and that guy has been competing in graded stakes. HOME SCHOOL (#4) comes here off a sharp second on turf at Del Mar Aug. 23. He was claimed that day and this marks his first start on dirt, but pedigree-wise that shouldn’t be an issue. It’s also very nice to see Rafael Bejarano keeps the call.

Race 7
EXPOSURE (#5) returns to the site of her romping starter allowance win July 9. She then dueled and fizzled at Del Mar Aug. 23, but may enjoy returning here and has worked well since. SWEETRAYOFSUNSHINE (#2) looked good beating $32,000 foes at Del Mar Aug. 12 after nearly a year on the bench. She didn’t repeat that run when fifth there Aug. 23, but it’s nice there’s no layoff since and she worked nicely recently. WINNING VISION (#3) is heading the right way. After nearly eight months off she ran 11th in a stakes at Santa Anita June 15, was a well-beaten third here July 5, and then second at Del Mar Aug. 12. STEALTH DRONE (#4) not only looked super blasting $32,000 claimers at Del Mar Aug. 23, but she was claimed and has worked strongly since.

Race 8
GOOD FOR IT (#8) may be a maiden but he ran well enough to win his only start. He chased the pace in a sprint at Del Mar Aug. 23 and stayed on well to be second, 13 1/2 lengths clear of the others. That and the corresponding Beyer (81) stamp him the one to beat. GIO MIO (#7) is a bit like the top pick, as he ran on to be a sharp second in his debut, a sprint at Del Mar Aug. 15. His Beyer wasn’t nearly as high (55) but he’s obviously got talent. VIVIENDO EL SUENO (#6) earned a couple stakes shots at Del Mar and wasn’t disgraced. He stays with stakes company, adds blinkers and has a smart work since his last.

Race 9
ATTACK (#10) made a run to grab the lead turning for home here Sept. 11 before finishing second to a runaway winner. He still finished well clear of the others and looks poised to get his diploma. BETTER LUCK (#4) came back after six months to be sixth at Del Mar Aug. 20, but moved to a route there Sept. 3 and improved to run third. Another forward move makes him dangerous. THREE RED SEVENS (#11) is an AE who has been knocking on the door with 10 second- and third-place finishes in his last 11 starts. He gets blinkers, and maybe that can get him over the hump. Should he not get into the race you can substitute WILD (#9) in his place. That guy may be ready to turn the corner. After failing to threaten in his first five starts, he perked up considerably to rally strongly for third (beaten less than a length) at this trip and level at Del Mar Aug. 19. WILD can still be used as a ‘C’ should THREE RED SEVENS get to play
