Hammersly: Golden Pick 6 analysis for Sunday, June 12
The meet comes to a close, meaning the money must go out, so there’s some appeal to Sunday’s pick six at the Albany,Calif., track.
Race 7
MANILA MISCHIEF (#9) has some sharp works for the leading barn and is bred to be quick. GALLANT HEAT (#7) showed talent when a decent second in his debut here May 22 and is eligible to do even better. SWEET SWINDLER (#1) has worked well for his debut for a trainer who does well first time out. SUMMERSIMAGE (#8) has worked nicely for his debut, and it’s most encouraging Baze sees fit to ride.

Race 8
DREAMARCHER (#5) couldn’t quite get past ELEGANT BEL here May 20, but that was her first start in a couple months, so she may move forward. BOTTLE BLONDE (#7) remains one tough customer. It’s a great sign Lage claimed her for $32,000 two races ago and she’s nearly doubled in value here. ELEGANT BEL (#2) opened up a big lead and gamely battled back to beat many of these May 20. She could do it again. CASTELLANI (#8) appears acclimated to her new surroundings. She has the tactical speed to be in a good spot from the start.

Race 9
You have to take a stand somewhere, and this may be it. LARRY BIRDSTONE (#6) comes off a romping win at Santa Anita. It’s his first time on synthetic, but some good turf form hints he’ll handle it.

Race 10
A LITTLE LUCKIER (#10) has been knocking on the door and may be ready to break through. She should get the right type of pace to bolster her late kick. ALLTHATNMORE (#3) figures prominent from the start, and a slight class drop may be just what the doctor ordered. WAHINE WARRIOR (#6) is winless in eight starts on turf, but she’s run some good races on this course, and it’s no small matter Baze sees fit to ride.

Race 11
DUTCHESSA (#5) and MELANIE ROSE (#1) ran first and second here May 26, separated by just a half-length. They figure tough again here. RUN SOPHIA RUN (#6) is a big threat, as she has speed and drops. She’s finished in the tri in 10 of her last 12.

Race 12
SLEW’S CHARM (#7) took a big step forward when moved back to turf here May 22, showing speed and keeping to her task well. That may be a sign she’s ready to break through and get her diploma. CALL MY BLUFF (#9) wasn’t disgraced at all in her main-track debut when fourth May 14. She takes a significant drop and moves to turf, for which she’s bred as she’s by Temple City, who’s produced such top turfers as Bolo and Miss Temple City.
