Winning tickets in the 50-cent late pick five Friday at Gulfstream Park were worth $7,060.65 after $645,877 in new money was bet into a rare carryover.

A 30-1 winner, Thrilling Baby, in the opening leg of a sequence that spanned races 5-9, was followed by winners at odds of 2-1, 4-5, 7-1, and 5-2. The winning numbers were 6-2-7-5-12.

The wager drew heightened interest because of a $94,227 carryover from the previous racing day at the South Florida track. The pick five at Gulfstream returns 4-of-5 consolations from a certain percentage of handle at all times, with a carryover resulting only when no perfect tickets are sold.

An 11-race Saturday card anchored by the $75,000 Miss Gracie (race 10) will include a $200,000 pool guarantee in the 20-cent Rainbow 6 (races 6-11). First post is 12:25 p.m. Eastern.
