Gulfstream Park: Noe to replace Bork as racing secretary after meet ends

Dan Bork, who has served as racing secretary here for the past four years, will resign that post at the end of the meet. Bork will be replaced by Jeffrey Noe, currently the assistant racing secretary at Calder.

“This decision was purely my own and based on the fact that being racing secretary year-round at Gulfstream would not allow me to spend the kind of time I want with my two children in Kentucky,” said Bork.

Gulfstream president Tim Ritvo said “I can’t overemphasize how sad we are that Dan will be leaving Gulfstream. He has helped Gulfstream grow every year he’s been racing secretary and his reputation is impeccable with horsemen throughout the world.”

Noe has worked in racing for 30 years. He has served the past three years as assistant to racing secretary Mike Anifantis at Calder following a long stint as an association steward at the north Miami oval.
