RACE 6: EMBOITE has some of the better Beyers in the field, and he also has the tactical speed to work out a favorable trip regardless of how the race flow develops. ARUBA is more reliant on pace, as he's more of a stone closer at this stage, but if he gets honest fractions he may be good enough. OPPOSITES ATTRACT was off the board when last on the turf two back, but he was beaten less than two lengths there despite running against a speed-friendly race flow. (3) RACE 7: HERE COMES BULLET was a beaten favorite when last seen, but a slow start cost him as he had to rush up. He can make amends here with a clean getaway and should appreciate the extra ground. BOLDNESS was up in time in that same race, and he’s a stretch threat here as well. BURGEE has some holes given the class plunge off the claim and layoff, but he’s tough to leave out. ENGLISH BOB makes his first start off the D’Angelo claim, a 23 percent angle. A forward trip should be an edge, as this Tropical Park Oaks lacks an obvious race flow. CAIRO CONSORT could be one of the main threats in the lane. She has been away since May but working steadily toward this return. PERSONAL PURSUIT stretches out off the short freshening and should be close up from the start. (3) RACE 9: SPIRIT WIND switches to the barn of Carlos David, who wins at 24 percent with new faces. She makes her first start off the bench in the Grade 3 Sugar Swirl, a sign of confidence, and she can win this on the lead or from just off the pace. INTREPID DAYDREAM has won 7 of 13 starts and comes off the best Beyer of her career. Her Beyers are steady, and her versatility has been a big reason for her success. HEADLAND was game in defeat in that last one. She has back Beyers that are good enough to win this. (3) :: Bet the races with a $200 First Deposit Match + FREE All Access PPs! Join DRF Bets. RACE 10: SIBELIUS is widest, but he could be the primary speed in the Grade 3 Mr. Prospector Stakes, no small consideration given the relative lack of pace in this field. He was off the board in all three starts since the game win in Dubai, but he didn’t get favorable race flows in any of those speed-filled sprints. He has license to take a big step forward here if he can work out a forward trip and the fractions are mild. (1) RACE 11: The Tropical Park Derby is another race that doesn't boast much speed, and that should work to the advantage of SMOKEY MANDATE, who could get first run on expected pacesetter Eyes On the King. Eyes On the King has had trouble lasting, and if Smokey Mandate can get first run on him he’ll be tough to catch as his best Beyers are plenty good enough.
