Shigeki Kikkawa Long Face most recently was sixth behind Egg Drop in the Grade 2 Goldikova at Santa Anita on Nov. 3.
HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Long Face will make her first start since being transferred to trainer Christophe Clement’s barn last fall when going postward as the likely favorite in Wednesday’s $54,500 allowance feature, carded at a mile on turf under high-priced optional-claiming conditions.
Long Face, graded stakes-placed on turf last season with trainer Patrick Biancone, closed her 2013 season by finishing sixth behind Egg Drop in the Grade 2 Goldikova at Santa Anita on Nov. 3. Egg Drop later returned to win the Grade 1 Matriarch. Clement also entered the English-bred mare Triple Charm for her U.S. debut in Wednesday’s race.
