Lightly raced 3-year-old maiden showed big improvement off his only previous start, 42 Beyer points in fact, when dropped in against bottom-level maiden claimers. Loomed a big threat turning for home only to lose his best chance after failing to change leads and flattening out through midstretch behind class-dropping winner.
