Gulfstream Park: Havana, No Nay Never breeze for Swale Stakes

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Havana and No Nay Never completed preparations for Saturday’s much-anticipated matchup in the Swale Stakes with five-furlong works Sunday.
Havana, who will make his first start since suffering his only defeat when second in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, worked in 1:00.90 at Palm Meadows. No Nay Never, undefeated in three starts at 2, with two of those victories coming in Europe, worked in 1:00.41 at Gulfstream.
“I thought he worked really well, and everything looks on schedule for the Swale,” trainer Todd Pletcher said of Havana. “We got behind a little bit with him, needed a place to start back, and the Swale seemed like the logical place.”
Rainbow 6 carryover
A carryover of $1,474,750 will be up for grabs in the Rainbow 6 wager when racing resumes Wednesday. The jackpot survived two near-misses over the weekend, the first when Collinito was disqualified and placed second following an apparent victory in Saturday’s nightcap, and the second when Get in Line re-rallied to defeat Mr. Baker in Sunday’s finale.
Victories by either Collinito or Mr. Baker would have resulted in a single winning combination, which is necessary to collect the massive jackpot.
