RACE 10: NO SHOW SAMMY JO won a 1 3/8-mile stakes with authority in her penultimate start Dec. 24 over a troubled GALLANT GRETA. Both never fired a month later going 1 1/2 miles in the Grade 3 Christophe Clement and are eligible to rebound going 1 3/8 miles in the Grade 3 The Very One. The jockey switch to Luis Saez might be a plus for Gallant Greta, who has respectable numbers for renowned turf trainer Mike Maker. (2) RACE 11: SWING VOTE was a good-looking maiden winner from off the pace last time out going six furlongs with an 87 Beyer Speed Figure. The daughter of Constitution is extending to a one-turn mile with a blend of speed and stamina in her pedigree and has lots of chase with Junior Alvarado back riding for top sprint/route trainer Bill Mott. ON TIME GIRL should go favored off her 4-for-5 record that includes a seven-furlong score in the Grade 3 Forward Gal. The nicely bred daughter of Not This Time is the second foal from of a Grade 3-winning miler on dirt. SHE BE SMOOTH won her debut in a one-turn mile at Gulfstream with a 78 Beyer over impressive next-out winner Prom Queen. (3) RACE 12: CREVALLE D’ORO and MOVIN’ ON UP both placed in the Grade 2 Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf at Gulfstream, with the former finishing a close second from a wide draw at a fat price. Irad Ortiz Jr. takes over on the late-blooming Crevalle d’Oro. LUSH LIPS, who completed her sensational 2025 campaign with back-to-back graded stakes scores, might need one off the layoff but could be dangerous regardless. SILVER MOONLIGHT is making her stakes debut off a freshening while putting her three-race winning streak on the line and wouldn’t be much of a surprise. (4) :: Play Gulfstream Park with confidence! He looked good in recent Palm Meadows works posted on 1/ST TV. ANEGADA shipped to Sam Houston on Jan. 24 to win his third race in his last four starts in the $200,000 John B. Connally Turf Cup. Ortiz picks up the mount, and the meet’s leading rider had placed with 7 of 9 mounts at the meet for Maker. (2) RACE 14: COMMANDMENT galloped out strongly after airing in the one-mile Mucho Macho Man Stakes on Jan. 3 at Gulfstream and has since worked encouragingly for superb stretch-out trainer Brad Cox. BRAVARO finished a clear second behind the gifted Nearly over this track and 1 1/16-mile distance off a three-month break on Jan. 31 in the Grade 3 Holy Bull. NAPOLEON SOLO has been working bullets for his first start since a front-running romp in the Grade 1 Champagne in October and might not need one.
