Gulfstream Park: Allowance on Tuesday may produce Holy Bull starters

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - Tuesday’s undercard includes a 1 1/16-mile entry-level allowance race that lured a field of 11 3-year-olds looking to earn themselves a starting berth in the Grade 3 Holy Bull later this month. The lineup includes six horses coming off a maiden win, led by Bradester, a son of Lion Heart who graduated by three lengths going 1 1/16 miles at Churchill Downs in his second start.

Casse said he is looking for an improved effort from Gunderman, who returns to allowance company after finishing sixth in Woodbine’s Display in his 2-year-old finale.

“We’ve always liked him a lot but he’s been an underachiever up to this point,” said Casse. “He trains like a good horse, but still hasn’t gotten his act together.”
