Vulnerable FavoriteThat runner-up finish on the CD fall-meet finale behind a bonafide Ky. Oaks prospect (Unbridled Forever) is nice and all, especially with the 84 Beyer, but RESISTIVITY (#1, 2-1) draws the unfavorable rail slot when taking on a very interesting set of newbies from the Mott, Matz, and Wolfson barns, not to mention the Todd returnee. Just not worth the low tote value in asking her to beat all of these. – Marty McGee

Spot PlayREADY TO LEAD (#8, 15-1): Trainer change cannot be understated here as this filly makes first start for Coletti after leaving a barn where they tend to ask too much of their charges. After a brief respite and a couple of local drills, she drops substantially in class and could find herself winging out top after leaving with her usual flair from a favorable outer post. This one’s a real sleeper. – Marty McGee

Spot PlayFOURSEVENTEEN (#4, 5-1): NY-bred finally ended a skein in his Big A farewell when taking the measure of “beaten” claimers, but he does come properly spotted on the moderate raise when retaining Rosario and coming favorably drawn in a race lacking a real standout. Serpe trying to do all the good he can for the Dubb group, and understandably so; here he sends out an old pro who’s clearly reached peak form. – Marty McGee
