Grand Slam Andre picked up his second consecutive stakes win on Sunday, when he rolled to a three-length win over Uh Oh Bango in the $50,000 Clever Trevor for 2-year-olds at Remington Park. It was another two lengths back in third to Western Forum. Grand Slam Andre ($3.40) broke with the field and raced in second early in the six-furlong race, as Cosmo Girl led her male rivals through an opening quarter in 21.69 seconds. Grand Slam Andre joined the filly midway on the turn, then moved clear of the field through the lane. He covered the distance on a track rated fast in 1:09.53. Chris Landeros was aboard Grand Slam Andre for J. Kirk Robison and trainer Steve Asmussen. The horse came into the Clever Trevor off a three-length win in the $75,000 Middleground at Lone Star Park on July 26. Grand Slam Andre is by Grand Slam and out of Spring Free, who is a half-sister to multiple Grade 2 winner Spring House.
