Grade 1 winner Somali Lemonade retired

Barbara D. Livingston Somali Lemonade is retired with six wins from 24 starts and earnings of $981,796.
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Trainer Michael Matz said Somali Lemonade has been retired just short of $1 million in earnings.
“There wasn’t really anywhere sensible to run her, and she’s done enough,” Matz said. “There’s been talk she’ll be bred to Frankel, but that’s not confirmed yet.”
Somali Lemonade, a 5-year-old mare by Lemon Drop Kid, won four graded stakes, most notably the Grade 1 Diana at Saratoga in July. Overall, she won 6 of 24 starts and $981,796 for owner Caroline Forgason.
