Grade 1 winner Girolamo’s first foal born in New York

Grade 1 winner Girolamo was represented by his first foal on Jan. 9, a filly born at Gallagher's Stud in Ghent, N.Y.
The filly is the second foal out of the unraced Rahy mare Wallstreetmadness, a half-sister to seven winners, including multiple Grade 2 winner Yearly Report, the dam of multiple graded stakes-placed Checklist.
Girolamo, a 7-year-old A.P. Indy horse, won five of 11 career starts for owner Godolphin Racing, including the Grade 1 Vosburgh Stakes in 2010 and the Grade 2 Jerome Handicap the previous year. He retired with earnings of $443,800.
Out of the Grade 3-winning Mr. Prospector mare Get Lucky—a full sister to champion Rhythm and leading Maryland sire Not For Love—Girolamo is a full brother to Grade 2 winner Daydreaming, Grade 3 winner Accelerator, and the dams of Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver and Grade 1 winner and sire Bluegrass Cat.
Girolamo stands for Darley at Sequel Stallions in Hudson, N.Y. He entered stud in 2012 for a fee of $15,000, and will stand for the same fee this year.
