HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - Trainer Tommy Albertrani completed a sweep of the weekend turf stakes at Gulfstream Park, sending out Gozzip Girl to a 2 1/4-length victory over Oilgonewile in Sunday's $125,000 Coconut Grove for 3-year-old fillies. Albertrani won the open division of the same race, the $125,000 Hallandale Beach, the previous afternoon with Duke of Homberg. Gozzip Girl, by Dynaformer, rallied from mid-pack to run down the pace-setting Oilgonewile near midstretch before drawing off to an easy win. Obsequious finished a head farther back in third. Habaya, the 8-5 favorite, faltered after pressing the issue to the stretch and finished eighth in a field of 11 3-year-old fillies. Gozzip Girl was ridden to victory by Ken Desormeaux and paid $23.40. "She was unlucky in her previous start but ran well enough to come back in this spot, and Kent gave her a beautiful ride," said Albertrani, who trains Gozzip Girl for Farnsworth Stables LLC.
