Gotta See Red wins Cinema Stakes

Gotta See Red upheld a family tradition of stakes success at Will Rogers Downs on Monday when she won the $55,000 Cinema.
The one-mile stakes was for 3-year-old fillies bred in Oklahoma.
Gotta See Red ($5) was winning her first Will Rogers stakes race. Her dam, Gotagogotagogotago, won a division of the Oklahoma Stallion Stakes at Will Rogers in 2011.
Gotta See Red on Monday was content to track the pace in second in the Cinema, as Okie Front set fractions of 24.01 seconds for the opening quarter, 47.86 for the half-mile and 1:12.05 for six furlongs on the sealed track rated sloppy. Gotta See Red battled between horses into the stretch and gained a comfortable advantage in the late stages while covering the distance in 1:37.69.
Gotta See Red won by three-quarters of a length over Canada Candy. It was another length and a quarter back in third to Ekati’s Hit.
Leandro Goncalves rode Gotta See Red for trainer Kari Craddock. The filly by Pollard’s Vision was bred by her owners, Hal Browning and David Faulkner.
Gotta See Red was winning her second stakes race behind the $100,000 Oklahoma Classics Lassie last October at Remington Park. She is now 4 for 6 and has earnings of $135,684.
