Gorgeous Ginny back where she belongs in Princess of Palms

PHOENIX – Gorgeous Ginny is a three-time stakes winner at Turf Paradise, and returning to her favorite place makes her the one to beat in Saturday’s $30,000 Princess of Palms. She’s by no means a slam dunk, however, as the six-furlong main-track event drew a competitive field of 10 fillies and mares.
Owned by Randy Howg and Robertino Diodoro and trained by Diodoro, the 3-year-old filly showed talent in Southern California in the summer of 2017 by placing in two stakes. She came here last winter and easily won all three starts, beginning with the Arizona Juvenile Fillies, a dirt sprint, Dec. 30. Then came wins in the Jeff and Jack Coady Sr. at about 7 1/2 furlongs on turf Jan. 21 and the Arizona Oaks routing on dirt here Feb. 17.
This marks her first start since dueling and finishing a solid second in the Goldfinch, a sprint stakes at Prairie Meadows on April 26.
Lake Time, owned and trained by Eric Kruljac, makes her first start here after some success in Southern California. She most recently finished fourth in the CERF Stakes at Del Mar on Sept. 3.
BCZ Middleton, owned by Jill Burns and trained by Jeff Metz, has done some of her best work here, winning three of six with two seconds, including a win in this race last year.
