Good Lord goes to Old Friends

Old Friends has added Good Lord and Balance of Power to its roster of horses at Kentucky Downs, the south-central Kentucky track where a third branch of the Thoroughbred retirement farm was opened in 2015.
Good Lord, 9, earned $803,305 in a remarkable 84-race career, all for trainer Forrest Kaelin. “It was time to give him a little rest,” said Kaelin. “But he was still 100 percent sound. … A nice little horse. A tough bird, I’ll tell you.”
Old Friends now has eight horses at Kentucky Downs and a total of about 100 in its care, most of them at the flagship facility in Georgetown, Ky.
