Good Looker R F runs down favorite

Good Looker R F rallied for a 2 1/2-length win over favorite Shezapirate in the $125,000 La Coneja at Sunland Park on Saturday. Lady Lance finished another 2 1/4 lengths back in third after setting the pace in the 5 1/2-furlong race for 3-year-old New Mexico-bred fillies.

Good Looker R F ($7.20) raced in third early as Lady Lance was clear through an opening quarter in 21.49 seconds. Good Looker R F overtook that one in the stretch and went on to cover the distance in 1:03.90. It was the second straight stakes win for Good Looker R F, who races for Rogers Farms and is trained by Armando Quintanilla Jr.

"She's just now blossoming," said Ken Tohill, who rode Good Looker R F. "She did everything right today."

Good Looker R F earned $75,000 for the win, which improved her record to 6 wins from 11 starts for earnings of $261,124.
