Goldwood takes them all the way in Unbridled Elaine Stakes

Goldwood won her second straight race at the Monmouth Park meet Saturday, when she led throughout for a 1 1/2-length win over Factorofwon in the $75,000 Unbridled Elaine. The score came on the heels of Goldwood's victory in last month's $78,000 Politely.

The Unbridled Elaine was a five-furlong turf sprint for fillies and mares.

Goldwood ($3) set fractions of 21.77 seconds for the opening quarter and 44.20 for the half-mile. She went on to cover the distance on firm ground in 55.85.

Jose Ferrer was aboard for trainer Jorge Duarte Jr.

Goldwood is a daughter of Medaglia d'Oro who races for her breeder, Colts Neck Stables. She has now won 6 of 15 starts for earnings of $240,130.

There was no show wagering as the race was scratched down to four starters.
