Glass Ceiling will probably get one more chance to run before being sold

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Glass Ceiling, winner of a pair of Grade 3 stakes earlier this year, will likely have one more race before she is to be sold at the Fasig-Tipton auction on Nov. 6, trainer and part-owner Charlton Baker said.
Glass Ceiling is pointing to the $120,000 Pumpkin Pie Stakes on Oct. 29 at Aqueduct, Baker said.
Glass Ceiling, whom Baker claimed for $40,000 in May 2021, won the Grade 3 Barbara Fritchie and Grade 3 Distaff earlier this year. She has been off since July, following a fifth-place finish in the Princess Rooney at Gulfstream Park.
“She’s come back good,” Baker said. “We were undecided if we’re going to sell her or race one more time and then sell her. I’m leaning toward running her.”
Glass Ceiling has had five workouts since Sept. 9.
