Girls Know Best bred to Uncle Mo, but may race again

Girls Know Best, a four-time stakes-winning mare, was recently bred to Uncle Mo, but her racing days may not be over just yet, trainer and part-owner Eddie Kenneally said.
“If they resume racing soon, she could run a time or two more,” said Kenneally, who owns Girls Know Best with Brian Chenvert and Triton Stable.
On March 7 at Gulfstream, Girls Know Best won the Captiva Island Stakes, a five-furlong turf stakes. It was her 13th win from 27 career starts. She has earned $626,847.
Girls Know Best is a 6-year-old daughter of Caleb’s Posse and is one of seven winners produced by the Maria’s Mon mare Now U Know.
Kenneally said Girls Know Best could be sold in foal in November.
Kenneally, who is keeping about 25 horses in Florida for the time being, said he is “on hold” with Outburst and Abscond, two 3-year-old turf fillies coming off solid stakes performances. Outburst on March 7 won the Grade 3 Florida Oaks at Tampa Bay Downs. Abscond, who won the Grade 1 Natalma last fall at Woodbine, most recently finished second to Cheermeister in the Grade 3 Herecomesthebride Stakes at Gulfstream on Feb. 29.
