Even though he was exiting a key race at Keeneland, he was sent off at a generous 10-1 in this second-level optional claimer. He was blocked behind rivals in the stretch of the one-mile turf route before swinging wide to finish a clear second.

After getting bet down to favoritism in his debut, he got wiped out at the start before mounting a mild, wide bid in a six-furlong sprint for $25,000 maidens. The 4-year-old Pleasant Tap gelding is bred to run long and should welcome a stretch-out in distance.
