Get the Sensation wins fourth straight in Fancy Buckles

After winning an early pace battle with Kluvyabye, Get the Sensation found herself alone on the lead in the $50,000 Fancy Buckles Stakes at Charles Town on Friday night and won by 6 1/2 lengths.
The 4 1/2-furlong Fancy Buckles was Get the Sensation’s fourth win in a row for Pimlico-based trainer Crystal Pickett. A West Virginia-bred daughter of the recently pensioned stallion Not for Love, Get the Sensation now is 4 for 6 in her career with $98,960 in earnings. She races for Jill Daniels.
Get the Sensation paid $3 in the seven-horse field despite being the only 3-year-old in the field of fillies and mares. She was timed in 51.73 seconds after fractions of 21.66 and 45.18.
Get the Sensation was the first mount for jockey Stevica Djuric since his mount, Svindahl, fell during a maiden race on turf at Pimlico last Saturday. He has been aboard Get the Sensation for all of her races.
Miss Mountineer finished second in the Fancy Buckles, a neck in front of Pagan Jewel. Kluvyabye tired in the stretch to finish fifth, beaten eight lengths.
