HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Georgia’s Reward stalked a hot pace and moved past the leaders through the lane for a 1 3/4-length win in the $100,000 Rainbow Miss on Saturday at Oaklawn Park. Dutch Treat finished second in a photo over Firewater Rocket.

The Rainbow Miss was for 3-year-old fillies bred in Arkansas.

Georgia's Reward ($3.80) settled in third as Spunky Town took the field through an opening quarter in 21.77 seconds, pressed by Firewater Rocket. Firewater Rocket overtook that one while running a half-mile in 45.52 seconds as Georgia’s Reward advanced. In the later stages, Georgia's Reward worked past Firewater Rocket. The winner covered the distance on a fast track in 1:11.98.

“The filly, she ran real hard,” said winning rider David Cohen. “The pace set up the right way. She worked hard and showed a lot of heart.”

Ron Moquett trains Georgia’s Reward for JRita Young Thoroughbreds. The filly earned $58,200 for her win, her second from four starts. Georgia’s Reward has now earned $115,735. Georgia’s Reward is a daughter of Warrior’s Reward who was bred by Robby Robinson and Treiessa Robinson.
