Gamine may race again next year

ARCADIA, Calif. – Gamine, third as the odds-on favorite in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint, remains stabled at Santa Anita and could stay in training next year at age 5, trainer Bob Baffert said.
“I have until February to decide,” Baffert said. “As long as she stays sound, and she is sound, she could” campaign in 2022.

Baffert said Grace Adler, who finished last in the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Starlet on Dec. 4, has been turned out for 30-day break. Grace Adler won the Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante in summer, but misfired twice afterward. Baffert won the Starlet with Eda.
