The late Galileo, his relatives and descendants, and the stallion Dark Angel were among the leading sires at the five-day Royal Ascot meeting. Galileo, the international titan who died in 2021 at Coolmore in Ireland, sired three individual winners, the only stallion to achieve that mark at the meet. In addition to Kyprios, a popular returning winner of the Group 1 Gold Cup, he was represented by Group 2 Queen’s Vase winner Illinois and Queen Alexandra winner Uxmal. :: Bet the races with a $200 First Deposit Match + FREE All Access PPs! Galileo’s sons Australia, Churchill, Gleneagles, New Approach, and Teofilo also sired winners at the meet, along with Teofilo’s grandson Havana Grey. Meanwhile, Dark Angel, who stands at Yeomanstown Stud in Ireland, also was represented by two winners – and was the only stallion to have multiple Group 1 winners at the meeting. The son of Acclamation was represented by Queen Anne winner Charyn and Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee winner Khaadem. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
