Galilean among six likely for Barretts Juvenile
CYPRESS, Calif. – Galilean, an unraced Uncle Mo colt purchased for $600,000 at the Barretts April sale of 2-year-olds in training, is one of six probable starters in Saturday’s $100,000 Barretts Juvenile at Los Alamitos.
The Barretts Juvenile, restricted to 2-year-olds who were offered at an auction conducted by Barretts, is the final stakes of the Los Angeles County Fair meeting at Los Alamitos, which ends on Sunday.
Galilean is owned by West Point Thoroughbreds and trained by Jerry Hollendorfer.
Other candidates are Big Impression, My Mandate, Kid Koil, Our Silver Oak, and Seven Scents. Our Silver Oak was fifth as the favorite in the Graduation Stakes for California-breds at Del Mar on Aug. 4.
