Fuse It takes Marshland

Fuse It won her second straight stakes Saturday night when she drove to a two and a half length win over even-money favorite Prized Amperbro in the $100,000 Marshland for statebred fillies and mares at Delta Downs in Vinton, La.

It was another four and a quarter lengths back in third to Light Fling.

Fuse It($5.20), who won the $75,000 Pan Zareta last month at Fair Grounds, was content to sit in third early behind Light Fling, who led the field through an opening four furlongs in 47.91 seconds. Fuse It took over in the stretch, and went on to cover the seven furlongs, run around two turns, in 1:26.59.

Gerard Melancon rode Fuse It for Rowell Enterprises and trainer Samuel Breaux.

Fuse It earned $60,000 for the win, which improved her record to 7 wins from 22 starts and earnings of $271,615.
