Fully Loaded, Tiger Blood rematched in Thursday allowance
RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLE
HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Thursday’s 10-race program features a pair of allowance events, the best of which is a two-other-than dash at five furlongs on the turf that lured a field of eight, led by Fully Loaded and Tiger Blood, the second- and fourth-place finishers in the Claiming Crown Canterbury on Dec. 5.
Fully Loaded chased the pace throughout and proved no match for the odds-on Fiya while beaten 1 1/2 lengths in the Canterbury, posting a career-best 90 Beyer Speed Figure for trainer Amador Sanchez.

Tiger Blood got a bit too far back and made a belated rally while finishing 1 3/4 lengths behind Fully Loaded in the Canterbury. An 11-time winner over the past two seasons, Tiger Blood figures to have a livelier pace to run at in Thursday’s main event, with speedsters Dare Day and Running for Riz in the field. Both switch over from the main track and turn back in distance.
Tiger Blood is one of two key contenders to be saddled by Mike Maker, who also entered Mo Maverick off a victory against New York-breds going six furlongs in his 2020 finale on Nov. 20 at Aqueduct. Mo Maverick is clearly fond of the local strip, having registered two wins and a second in three tries over the Gulfstream Park turf course.
◗ Nominations for the five graded stakes on the Jan. 23 Pegasus World Cup undercard close Saturday. The undercard is topped by the Grade 2 Inside Information at seven furlongs for fillies and mares, and also includes four Grade 3 events – the W. L. McKnight, Fred W. Hooper, La Prevoyante, and Marshua’s River.
Nominations for all five races are free.
