Dontlookbackatall looks well-spotted in Parx Racing’s Power By Far for fillies and mares at five furlongs on turf.
The Power By Far is the co-feature on the Monday program with another $100,000 turf stakes for Pennsylvania-breds, the Crowd Pleaser for 3-year-olds at 1 1/16 miles.
Trained by Christophe Clement, Dontlookbackatall has cracked the exacta in 9 of 11 appearances, including a victory in the License Fee in New York on May 5. In that race, Dontlookbackatall sat a nice trip tracking slow fractions before winning by a neck over stablemate Gal in a Rush. Irad Ortiz Jr. retains the mount.
Disco Ebo is a multiple stakes winner on dirt, but trainer Butch Reid is looking forward to trying her on turf once again. Her only start on the surface came during the summer of 2022 when she finished last of seven in the Blue Sparkler at Monmouth Park.
“Her big sister loved the turf,” Reid said. “She’s got several full brothers, including Smooth B and Fore Harp, who have all been nice sprinters on the turf. We wanted to give her another shot.”
Trainer David Dotolo expects Aoife’s Magic to show speed in her turf debut.

“The reason I’m [trying turf] is because it’s five-eighths, and I want to turn her loose for a change,” Dotolo said. “If she’s not on the front, then I’m guessing she doesn’t like the grass.”
Aoife’s Magic hasn’t raced since a fourth-place finish in Parx’s Unique Bella on April 22. Dotolo wanted to run the multiple stakes winner in the Grade 3 Miss Preakness on May 17 at Pimlico, but she “was full of mucus and stuff” following a breeze on May 4.
The Smarty Jones filly breezed a half-mile on June 8 at Parx.
Flamingo Way and Midnight in Alaska will both be trying turf after winning their last two starts. Eight Danzas and Princess Runaway will be making their seasonal debuts.
Shoshanah is cross-entered in Saturday’s Goldwood at Monmouth, and trainer Kyle Horlacher told track publicity there that weather will be the deciding factor as to where she competes.
Organized Chaos and My Hunny Bunny complete the field. Boss Like Beth and Always Mia are on the also-eligible list.
Crowd Pleaser
If the Crowd Pleaser remains on grass, it will go without morning-line favorite Maximus Meridius.
“I don’t think I’m going to run him on the turf,” Reid said. “I put him in there hoping it would come off.”
Reid will still be represented by Carcharoth, who makes his turf debut after a runner-up effort in a statebred allowance on May 28.
“I’ve tried a couple of times to get him on the turf, but I can’t get a race to stay on the turf for him. He acts like a turf horse, has the hoof of one.”
Trevesso drops in class after finishing fifth at in Monmouth’s Jersey Derby on June 1. Heavy Pour is a synthetic stakes winner trying turf for the first time. Capo, winner of last year’s Pennsylvania Nursery on dirt, will be making his grass debut.

Factor U and Me In, Party At Sam’s, and Dropline might provide the pace.
King Mendelssohn, Sharp Tones, and Pretorian Gold are the only horses in the race with a prior turf win, while Lost and Confused switches surfaces after winning his two-turn debut in a restricted maiden special on June 16.
Max Barley and Time Tested are on the also-eligible list.
