Friday’s TimeformUS Highlight Horse: Myfourchix appears to be rounding back into form

Burn Control (#2) and Anydayismyday (#4) each comes into this race off an excellent effort. However, they both went off at an inflated price in their last race and will be a fraction of those odds this time. Furthermore, Anydayismyday worked out an absolutely perfect trip last time, stalking the pace down inside before a huge opening along the rail materialized at the top of the stretch. It’s unlikely that she’ll be nearly as fortunate against this tougher field.

Either of the favorites can certainly win, but I think one of their rivals will offer better value this time.

MYFOURCHIX (#3) put in an encouraging effort when she returned to the races this winter, making a middle move before flattening out against the in-form Kalabaka in January. She disappointed two back, but got back on track with her best performance of this meet last time. Rated off a slow pace (indicated by blue color-coding in the PPs), she launched a wide run around the far turn and did well to get up for second. She has run plenty of races that could put her in the winner's circle, and I think she could sit a good trip just off the speeds this time.
